Operation Exodus Canada - helping God's Chosen People return to Israel
Welcome to Operation Exodus Canada
Part of a Worldwide Network of Nations for Ebenezer Operation Exodus
A primary focus of the ministry of Ebenezer-Operation Exodus is providing support for Jews in the diaspora to “make aliyah”…to immigrate to Israel…the Land promised by God to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as “an everlasting possession”. The Hebrew word “aliyah” means “to ascend, to go up”. Psalm 84:5-7 says “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage…they go from strength to strength till each appears before God in Zion.” Many Jews in the diaspora are making plans to return to their ancestral homeland.
The goal of our team in Canada is to be an encouragement and support to Jewish families, couples, and singles as they prepare to make aliyah from Canada and begin a whole new life in Israel; to undergird this holy re-gathering with ongoing prayer; and to provide churches with relevant teaching, resources, and encouragement to support and actively participate in this ministry. There are numerous references in the Bible to a latter day exodus of Jews out of the nations and home to the Land of Israel. We believe this timely work of re-gathering and homecoming is holy to the LORD, and should be an important priority for Christians.
There are many references in the Old Testament to a latter-day re-gathering of the Jewish people to their ancestral homeland. Twice almost verbatim the LORD declares in Jeremiah that the time would come when there will be a latter-day exodus of His people out of all the nations that will so eclipse the ancient exodus out of Egypt such that it will be “forgotten” by comparison (Jeremiah 16:14-15, 23:7,8). “For I will restore them to the Land I gave their forefathers,” declares the LORD. That time has arrived!
In Deuteronomy 30 vs.4 Moses prophesied that “even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens, from there the LORD your God will gather you and bring you back (Deuteronomy 30:4).” In His enduring love and faithfulness to His chosen people, God who scattered them among the nations declares He will gather them again, and He beckons us Gentiles (Isaiah 49:22) to serve Him in this glorious and holy enterprise of restoration and re-gathering.
